How do I set my rental price?

Owners choose the rental price they want to list for their timeshare unit. There are many things to consider when setting your rental price. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Price your unit competitively. Resort operators have tremendous marketing power and list unsold inventory on their websites and through travel site like Expedia, Travelocity, etc. To compete with them you will need to set your rental price 30-50% less than “retail”.
  • Check some resources online. Check out other prices at your resort on Weekly Timeshare Rentals to see your competition. You can also compare prices at the Timeshare User Group Marketplace where you can often find a unit comparable to yours being rented by other owners. Go to http://tug2.net/timesharemarketplace
  • Know your bottom line. Many owners simply want to recover their annual maintenance fees and will price their unit accordingly. If you do this, you’ll be “priced to sell”, but remember that your price must include our fee of 15% or $75. A price of $1000 will yield you $850 (which is only charged if we find you a renter).
  • Check your listing on our site and update it often. The marketplace is dynamic and prices change frequently. You can adjust your price online in the My Account section of the website or by calling us at any time. If you can’t check back often, consider setting an aggressive price from the beginning.

What is the cost to list?

It's free to list your timeshare resort week on Weekly Timeshare Rentals - you just need to use our rental listing wizard, where in about 5 minutes, you will create an account and your rental listing. Any information you provide to us will be kept confidential. There are no fees to create an account or rental listing… in fact we won’t even ask you for any billing information. Instead we’ll just send you a check when we have rented your timeshare resort unit.
